Austin Frakes
Born in California and raised in Seabrook, Texas, Austin was homeschooled alongside his siblings before graduating high school. In 2004, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving four and a half years as an 0311 Rifleman. During his military service, he deployed to Afghanistan and completed two tours in Iraq in support of Operations Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Iraqi Freedom (OIF). In 2010, he began his law enforcement career with the League City Police Department, where he continues to serve his community today. He later founded Longshot Forge, a custom knife-making business, and now sells his work at local markets and knife shows across multiple states.
He and his wife reside in Galveston County with their four children, a goofy German Shepherd, two cats, and more chickens than he ever planned on having.
